Cable Trunking
Enclosed steel trunking for cable runs that need protection, segregation, and a tidy route, in switchrooms, clean rooms, life-safety risers, and the exposed service voids of modern offices. TKC perforated and TKU plain, in standard widths from 100 to 1000 millimetres and heights of 50, 100, or 150 mm. Hot-dip galvanised, pre-galvanised, or Jotun powder-coated to match the architectural palette of the room.

Enclosed, segregated, specifiable
A Metosu cable trunking is a rectangular steel channel with a removable cover, bolted or clipped to structure. It gives cables that must not share tray a fully enclosed route, protects them from mechanical damage, and keeps the services plan in a sealed run rather than an open one. Cover types
Plain covers for runs that stay fully enclosed. Perforated covers for heat dissipation and for runs that need a visual check. Hinged covers for the zones opened often, such as behind MDF panels or above demountable ceilings.
Finish for the visible work
Where the trunking is seen, such as the exposed service voids of modern Jakarta offices or ceiling feature strips in hotel lobbies, we finish on the Jotun line: 60–80 µm of dry powder coating, cured at 180°C, to any RAL. Hot-dip galvanised and pre-galvanised are available for outdoor runs and dry indoor runs.

These are the standard sizes in our catalogue, in 3 metre lengths. TKC and TKU share the same geometry. The only difference is the perforation: TKC is perforated, TKU is plain.

- What are the standard cable trunking sizes?
- Ten standard sizes, from 100 x 50 mm up to 1000 x 150 mm, in 3 metre lengths. The full table is on this page and in the catalogue. Sizes outside the table are made to your project drawing.
- What is the difference between TKC and TKU?
- The geometry is identical. TKC is perforated, TKU is plain. Part codes follow the same size, for example TKC 200/50 and TKU 200/50.
- When should I use trunking instead of cable tray?
- Use trunking where the cables need full enclosure, such as low-voltage, control, data, or segregated power cabling, including clean-room and life-safety wiring. Use cable tray for medium-density distribution where some dust protection is wanted but full enclosure is not required.
- Which trunking fittings are available?
- Inside and outside risers, flat-wise elbows, flat-wise crosses, equal tees, and reducers. Each fitting has its part code and technical drawing in the catalogue.
- What finishes are available for trunking?
- Hot-dip galvanised, pre-galvanised, or Jotun powder coating, and every standard size is available in all three. Jotun suits the exposed runs in offices and hotels, in any RAL colour.
